ILFRACOMBE EVENTS 2026
We are well into the events for 2026 and below you will find highlights of recent events and details of those planned over the summer:
Ilfracombe Art Trail
Ilfracombe has become quite a destination for artists and art lovers, with so many new galleries opening up we are starting to rival the likes of St Ives and Padstow.
May 2026 marked the tenth Art Trail with over 70 different artists opening their studios in their homes and galleries for visitors and it was an amazing opportunity to follow the trail and visit various artists in their studios.
Ilfracombe Beer and Music Festival
Organised and run by Ilfracombe Round Table raising funds for local good causes, this is the biggest (and best) beer festival in the South West, with over 100 local beers and ciders, live music all weekend plus various street food stalls, this is not to be missed. Held each Whitsun Bank Holiday. Here is a link to a video of this year’s event:

Ilfracombe Coast Week
Celebrate Ilfracombe’s spectacular harbour, coastline and coastal community with a packed week of sea views, boat trips, guided walks, water activities, wildlife, workshops, local history, food, art and family-friendly fun.
The Big Lunch
Ilfracombe holds a ‘street party’ each year on Fore Street, with trestle tables full of food and live entertainment from local musicians outside the George & Dragon and Prince of Wales. A great community event which will be held on June 7th.
Ilfracombe Sea Shanty Festival
2026 sees the first ever Sea Shanty Festival. Shanty crews from all over the UK will be descending on Ilfracombe the weekend of June 28th for two days of sea shanties and revelry, performing at this brand new Festival, being hosted in venues around Ilfracombe.
All Things Morris
4th and 5th July the All Things Morris festival hits Ilfracombe with Morris Sides from all over the UK entertaining the crowds and vintage Morris Minor and Morris Travellers on show.
LARKFEST
31st July – 2nd August | Larkstone Cafe Bar
Larkfest is a brand-new, family-friendly summer festival bringing together live music, DJs, food & drink, market stalls and entertainment across one unforgettable weekend at Larkstone Cafe Bar.
Ilfracombe Round Table Soap Box Derby
It is the second year of the Soap Box Derby and you will have ring side seats at The Collingdale as we can watch from our balconies and sun terrace as the teams race their soap box machines. Saturday 22nd August

Welcome Weekender 2026 – Landmark Theatre

Ilfracombe Carnival
Carnival will once again be on Bank holiday Sunday 30th August, with an eclectic mix of floats keeping us entertained for the evening. This spectacular event raises monies for local charities and is a fun night for all the family.
Sea Ilfracombe Maritime Festival
3rd and 4th September sees the return of the fabulous maritime festival Sea Ilfracombe, a whole weekend of fun for all the family, celebrating everything maritime … sea shanties, pirates, mermaids, street food,
